iRacingTV has released a new video, giving you a behind the scenes look at the development of the Circuit of the Americas, the next track to be added to the simulation.

Originally recorded for Motors TV, the video showcases the extensive process involved with scanning the world-class racing circuit and implementing it into the iRacing sim. The track development team also explains how each minuscule detail is used to create the most realistic experience possible.
The Circuit of the Americas is the United States’ latest premier racing facility, completed in 2012, just in time for the US Grand Prix. The track also hosts the Australian V8 Supercars, FIA WTCC, and MotoGP. COTA is the first track in the USA to be purpose-built to Formula 1 specifications.
