Good news, iRacers! The long-awaited LMP1 cars are finally being released with the next build, 2018 build 2 that is, of iRacing. The build will be landing March, and the content was confirmed by Steve Myers, iRacing’s Executive Vice President, on Twitter!
Which Cars then?
Plural form, which means there at least two new cars coming, and there are only two that we know of so far – the Porsche 919 Hybrid and the Audi R18 RP6. Both were an immense challenge to develop as the dev team behind iRacing already revealed in the past, and as a result it is unlikely that there will be any more LMP1 cars coming.

But that doesn’t exclude any other new content from the March build, such as the Charlotte dirt track, located right by Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the Limaland Motorsport Park!

A new rallycross layout for Sonoma Raceway was confirmed as well, we do not know however whether it will make it into the March build.

And then, there is of course a lot of other content and features that are currently being developed for iRacing. Soon enough, we will know more!
