iRacing Monza Screenshots

There’s been plenty of videos previewing the upcoming Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit coming to iRacing in next week’s Season 2 build, including ours, and now iRacing has released a bunch of screenshots of the Italian classic.  iRacing’s VP of Art & Production, Greg Hill, took to the forums this weekend to show off Monza from about as many angles as your heart could desire.  From the GP track’s many chicanes to the classic, driveable, oval that is part of Monza’s lore, Greg has captured it all in this extensive grouping of screenshots.

iRacing’s version of Monza will feature three tracks, the 3.6 mile Grand Prix circuit which hosts the Italian Grand Prix, a 1.49 mile Junior circuit, and of course the 2.64 mile Pista di Alta Velocita (the high banked oval).  It will also arrive in 9 configurations, a few variations of the GP circuit, the junior circuit, the historic oval left and right turning, and a few variations which combine the high banked oval with the modern GP circuit.  I sure hope they’ve labeled all the configurations nicely in the track’s drop down menu or this is going to be real confusing!

With less than 48 hours until the Season 2 build (allegedly), iRacing member won’t have to wait much longer to take some laps on this highly anticipated track (with most of laps probably being on the oval/combined course…).  And once the track is launched, members will have multiple opportunities to race it as the track is featured in three out of the six ’24 Hours of Fun’ series running during iRacing’s semi-off week known as Week 13 (which is a concept that I think needs overhauling but we’ll leave that for another time).

  1. Speaking of which, aside from the trucks (yawn) what is the next car due for release? I’m really looking forward to the Aston Martin.
