Image Space Incorporated (ISI) keep the strong support of their new stock cars going with the release of the Joesville Speedway short track for rFactor 2. The track is only 0.41 miles and is said to have a similar feel to Richmod and Irwindale. I see a bit of South Boston myself.
The elaborate fictional backstory from ISI is too funny not to share.
Many thought Joesville, the town with a nearby Speedway, was surrounded by picturesque rock formations. Infact, they turned out to be an elaborate movie set that were never removed after filming of the movie ‘rFactor’ wrapped in 2008.
It turns out that after the huge painted wooden horizon boards were removed, they revealed the true location of Joesville Speedway, including palm trees and the humid Florida landscape.
Since it is a traditional US short track, it only comes in one configuration; turn left!
Really enjoying the rF2 Stockcar and Tracks…and the newly added Joesville is fantastic, very intense…but how do you pass on these short tracks with a full grid of 30 or so cars if you are at the back…LOL
