KartSim is Still Alive – New Preview Video

Many people were excited when Zach Griffin announced KartSim back in 2008, with the single man development team looking to bring realistic karting to the PC. The title had high ambitions, albeit a lengthy development time. After development updates ceased in late 2012, fans grew concerned that the title may not come out.

Now, a year and a half after their last update, Zach has released a new video, giving a rather extensive preview of the title, and a look at what has happened since the last update.

One of the reasons for the lengthy period of silence was that Zach was hired by a company to develop a professional driving simulator, and that took up a lot of his time. He states that since that project is finished, he is now able to devote his time exclusively to KartSim’s release.

He also announced some of the extensive features of the title, including:

  • Single and multiplayer support
  • Unity3D engine provides realistic graphics
  • Physics engine developed from scratch by Zach Griffin
  • A driving school
  • Ability to customize your driver, kart, and race team
  • Seamless on and off track experience

Zach has revealed that the title is nearing completion, and he has plans to put the title on Kickstarter as well as Steam Greenlight. He has made it his priority to get the title out to the fans as fast as possible, at the highest level of quality he can.
