Presenting my Logitech G29 in depth impressions on PS4. You may have seen my first quick look at it from E3, but now I have one here to unbox, mount to my rig and try it on the PS4 with F1 2015, Project Cars and Drive Club. I will do a follow up with the Playstation 3 and PC as well.
First I did a quick unboxing and then checked to see if the G27 shifter worked on the PC.
There’s a totally new driver for the G29 that was posted this month and I used it to see if the shifter worked.
After that I mounted it to my GT Omega Pro and turned some laps.
I wrapped things up by answering some questions that were posted on Facebook. I hope you enjoy the show !

Well, I am still disappointed, but I have moved on to a T500. That said, I am enthused by the pedals. Now will they sell them separate? Can you find them like I did my third set of G27 pedals, so I don’t any parts right now, but I am talking to folks on PC that need parts… Did I miss the test with the pedals on the T300? Btw, I bought my spare pedals on Ebay, for $30, but the cheapest I saw today was $100. There was a guy that remanufactures your pedals… I have not tried him.
On fit and finish the wrapping job on the wheel looked like it had wrinkles or something going on… Anyways, glad to see Logitech making new wheels, just not sure what game the red knob is for? GT5 had that, I guess maybe on some PC games you could assign it? Have to wait and see.
Good job Darin.
I have the G25 steering wheel and might switch to the G29. I wonder if the shifter of the G25 would work on the G29 as well.
17:30 – Nice of you to mic it up, Darin. Very informative part of the video. I don’t have any experience with gear-driven wheels or the way they sound, but that G29 wheel sounds just horrible and utterly cheap. An absolute deal-breaker, I’d say.
