Mak Corp is one of the most iconic modding groups in this latest generation of sim racing, working on mods for rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. They also have been branching out, helping provide professional solutions to racing organizations. Now, they have announced their latest partnership, and boy, it’s a doozy!
Mak Corp has announced that they are partnering with eXcape Entertainment Group to give Formula E race fans the opportunity to test out the latest generation of open-wheelers. will be providing simulators to all of the nine venues on the Formula E calendar. Mak will be developing the software side, which will use the ISI engine. The simulators will be powered by the rFactor engine for the first event at Beijing. In following events, they will migrate over to the rFactor 2 engine. The car will also be transferred to Assetto Corsa. The nine circuits will also be digitally recreated for the events.
One question you may have is “Will I get a chance to drive the Formula E car at home?” Well, there may be a real chance you will get to see this coming to your sim of choice. Mak Corp is looking to enter discussions with Formula E to try to get permission to port the content to rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. While there are no guarantees, it gives us reason to be optimistic.
I think it’s pretty awesome, seeing that Mak Corp is bringing this new series to the virtual world, in time for the first race ten days from now. I’m also excited at the possibility at seeing these cars come to our own computers. What are your thoughts on Formula E? Would you like to see it make its way to rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa? Let us know in the comments!

Yes! Would gladly pay a fair price for a full series/season of top quality tracks and cars for rF2!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am looking forward to running them on Assetto Corsa, but their F 1 cars have cool afterfire effects that will be hard to beat.
Im not gonna play a racing game/mod with electric cars. No noise = No Fun.
When do we get to play it? :p
