New SimBin Dev Blog Discusses Circuit Paul Ricard

SimBin has released their latest dev blog, this time taking a look at the development of Circuit Paul Ricard, a track coming to RaceRoom Racing Experience. The circuit is regarded as a High Tech Test Track (HTTT), and in the past it hosted races such as the French Grand Prix and MotoGP events.

Wojtek “feels3” Kedzierski give us a rundown of the process of developing Paul Ricard, and also features a forward by SimBin Sound Director Anthony Monteil. The blog also discusses improvements to the engine, including a new road shader system, to create a more authentic feel and look to R3E’s tracks. The results speak for themselves, with some impressive screenshots. It will also be interesting to see how many of the circuit’s 167 possible configurations will be transferred into the sim.

You can read the full dev blog here. Are you excited to see the classic circuit coming to RaceRoom Racing Experience?

  1. I’d be more excited about news regarding improved physics and fixing the nvidia driver issue because right now i cant play R3E or DTM at all.
