Many people are glued to news about Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS, but SMS is also working on another title, that is sure to garner some attention. World of Speed was announced in February, in collaboration with My.com. The “Free-to-Compete” racing game has been silently in development, and now a new trailer has been released, showing off the Pagani Huayra, McLaren MP4-12C, and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

World of Speed will be a AAA massively multiplayer online action-racing game, which will not rely on getting across the line first, but focusing on teamwork. Racers can band together to form clubs, and compete together in challenges. Officially licensed cars and tracks will be included in the title, including circuits such as Brands Hatch and Monaco. World of Speed is planned to come out later this year, with a beta coming in the near future.
