Niels Heusinkveld has released the next video in his Talk and Drive series, but there’s (almost) no driving! Before you cry foul, Niels decided to use this video to try to explain how to calculate steering loads from tire data and telemetry. It’s a very informative video, that may be worth the watch if you’re interested in the physics side of sim racing.

I will be first to admit that the majority of this flew right over my head, with me having no experience in the physics side of sim racing. It’s a cool video nonetheless, to give perspective on things that aren’t exactly at the forefront of people’s minds while racing. I would also recommend Niels’ other videos on his channel, which can give you valuable insight on the physics side of our hobby.
