Presenting an Oculus Rift DK2 iRacing complete race. For this race I ran the Skip Barber Formula 2000 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park otherwise known as Mosport.
In my full review which you can find HERE, I mentioned I wouldn’t run a high stakes race with it. Not that the stakes were high in this race, but my personal safety rating and iRating were at stake.
I started 11th out of 18 drivers in the top split, dropped all the way to last at one point due to a spin and off and then finished 12th. I hope you enjoy this race !
My system specs for this race are:
AMD 6 Core @ 3.5 Ghz
16 Gigs of Corsair Vengeance Ram
NVidia GTX 760
Thrustmaster T300 RS
Thrustmaster T500 RS Pedals

You would get much better frame rate if you didnt use Open Broadcaster… it drops FPS significantly.
I was using it in preview mode without encoding enabled.
Ok, maybe it’s just on my setup (gtx 780 SLI, 2600K CPU, 16GB RAM) But most of my games drop signifikantly fps when i use Open Broadcasyer, just by running it with no recording.
Do you have the box checked to disable encoding while in preview mode ? THat can make a huge difference
I think i found out what is going on with my LAG…
I suspect, that my GTX780 in SLI does not have enough RAM to process Oculus rift and the OBS at the same time…
I did turn encoding off, but as soon i start preview it starts stuttering.
So what i did was setup OBS so that it only shows MENU, and as soon game lounches it does not preview anything.
