Project CARS is one of the eagerly anticipated racing titles that is bound to shake up the sim racing industry. Even though Slightly Mad Studios has been fairly transparent in the development of the title, some questions have remained. One of the questions was in regard to the release date. We knew that the PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 versions would release in November, but we didn’t know the day. Now, we have an answer to the question, compliments of GAME.
Project CARS will be released November 21st in the UK. It is speculated that North America will get it the Tuesday before, on November 18th. Wii U racers will have to wait until sometime next year to get their Project CARS fix, with “development issues” being tagged as the reason. A Steam OS version is also planned for release next year as well. PCARS will be released under the Namco Bandai banner, and will feature many different cars and racing disciplines. You will also be able to take part in real races such as the Indianapolis 500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Are you looking forward to getting Project CARS when it hits shelves (both real and virtual) this November? Let us know in the comments!

Cant wait – if this works out as i hope – i don’t need Forza 5 + New Xbox + New Steering Wheel/Pedals + Gran Turismo 7 + New PS4 + New Steering Wheel/Pedals. Im really crossing my fingers so i don’t have any reason buying all this hardware/software for next gen consoles which i currently do not own. Would be nice saving $2000-3000 for all this console stuff. Or maybe Fanatec will save us again and make a PC+PS4+XboxOne Wheel/Pedals (GT2 replacement). Its pretty dumb that a PC x86/x64 USB wheel does not work for a x86 Xbox based One a x86 based PS4. Many of us reading articles on this site will have to drop GT/Forza franchise completely because of the non-support of our current semi expensive wheels/pedals. And if you are gonna buy a medium wheel/pedal setup – you have to choose either console. Im really crossing my fingers for Project Cars that it will be better in every way compared to Forza5 and GT6/GT7.
I agree with Michael on about everything, I invested into my pc and triple screens, so consoles are too outdated at this point. I have 2 G27’s, one I am using and a full new one in the box, plus a pedal assembly for parts so I am not in the market. However, I am amused at the way they keep making wheels for only a single system and that they systems and/or games are forcing them to do that.
I am looking forward to Project Cars for PC. It would be nice to have a plug and play game for my PC. Although I still have not seen anything about it on Amazon or Best Buy, yet. Fingers crossed.
Just curious why it is being promoted for U.K. if the U.S. release date is earlier… I guess that is because that is where the game seems to be being made… Whatever, I am looking forward to its release in U.S. for PC. Hope it will work on triples… 🙂
To be honest I do not trust much Thrustmaster, in the past I bought a wheel but had a lot of problems. Also I believe that price of T300RS is too expensive, even because the pedals are ridicolous and need to spend 100 Eur more to buy T3PA, 3 years ago I bought G27, paid 250 eur and work perfect. To buy PS4, T300RS and T3PA means a total of about 900 Eur, I am really thinking to buy a PC and keep my G27, I don’t understand why Sony and games developpers do not support logitech and fanatec, something is strange, and I don’t like that. Also, PC give me the chance to play with two great games like Assetto Corsa and Rfactory, I tested at my friend home and both are very nice games. I will be waiting untill the end of the year palying GT6 and Grid Autosport, at the beginning of 2015 i decide what to do, at the moment I have 80% for PC and 20% PS4, change my mind only if Logitech and Fanatec wheels be supported.
