Project CARS Releases Racing Icons Car Pack

Slightly Mad Studios, makers of Project CARS, have released the Racing Icons Car Pack.  The car pack marks the first new content to hit the title since its release a month ago.

The pack features five cars, four of which that made a name for themselves at a little race that’s happening in Le Mans, France this weekend.  The cars are:

2013 Bentley Continental GT GT3
2013 Bentley Continental GT GT3
2003 Bentley Speed8 LMGTP
2003 Bentley Speed8 LMGTP
1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail
1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail
1999 BMW LMR V12
1999 BMW LMR V12
1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM
1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM

As you can see, its a pretty nice grouping of cars, and should keep everyone busy driving Project CARS version of Circuit de la Sarthe this weekend.  And for the record, I am all about the Continental’s glowing grill, I don’t care that it’s the slowest car in the pack.

Along with the release of the Racing Icons Car Pack is the launch of Project CARS ‘On Demand’.  On Demand is essentially the branding of updates and new (free and paid) content to the title.  So…its nothing to get real excited about.

While the Icons pack is part of On Demand, it’s of the paid variety, and will cost you $2.99 in the Steam store (and all other platform stores).  Pretty reasonable.
