Racecraft First Look and Interview at Gamescom 2015

Presenting our first look at Racecraft, the new sandbox based title from Italian developers Vae Victis. Our Andreas Nie spoke with Creative Director Antonio Moro to learn more about Racecraft and their plans to bring it to Steam Early Access.

It’s certainly an interesting idea, that if done right, could create a ton of tracks to drive on.  How accurate will those tracks be?  Good question.  Certainly working in Vae Victis favor is their collaboration with Kunos Simulazioni’s Stefano Casillo – Lead Developer of Assetto Corsa – on physics that have been tweaked more towards the “simcade” side than sim.

Vae Victis are planning to release Racecraft to Steam Early Access this October with a v1.0 release following in October 2016.

  1. This sounds to be a fun game! I am looking forward to the release of RC!
    : )

I’m still confused on the whole “can I design my own tracks” thingummy. I want to be able to lay down the actual course and not have the game design one based on a few parameters that I control. Will that be allowed in the full version of RC?
