After releasing yet another Swedish track just yesterday, Sector3 Studios gave some information on what next week’s patch will add to RaceRoom – the long-awaited flag rules are coming.
The flags
Seven different types of flags are coming to RaceRoom and in case you are not familiar with them already, here is a small explanation of each of them.
Green flag
The green flag is shown when a session is started, the conditions are safe and everything is as it should be.
Yellow flag
Something has happened up ahead, possibly an accident. Overtaking is not permitted whilst this flag is being shown. If you do so anyway, you will have to give the position back in the next 15 seconds or you will otherwise receive a penalty. Slow speeds are recommended.
Blue flag
The blue flag is shown when there is a faster car behind that is being held up by you. You may see this flag in multi-class racing or when being lapped.
If you fail to make room within 10 seconds, you will receive a warning and continuing to do so for another 10 seconds will get you drive-through penalty.
White/ black flag
This flag will be shown to you when you go over the track limits or the wrong way.
White flag
The white flag informs you of a slow car on tack, which could be damaged or just of a slower class.
Black flag
You have been disqualified and your race has now ended.
Checkered flag
The first driver has completed all laps and the race is now ending.
In-game, there will be three different flag modes to choose from: “full”, “simple” and “off”.
What else will be included in the patch is yet to be announced and for now, you can check out the different flags in action below.
