SimHQ Motorsports recently had the opportunity to discuss rFactor 2’s track development with ISI’s Lead Environment Artist, Luc Van Camp. The interview gives a behind the scenes look at how it is to develop tracks for the rFactor 2 sim, as well as plans for the future. It’s a little long, but definitely worth the read! You can find the interview here.
Luc Van Camp first made a name for himself developing texture updates for rFactor 1 tracks under the name SLN. He was snapped up by ISI to make up half of their two-man Track Team for rFactor 2.
The interview also includes some new screenshots of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, currently in development and slated for release around this year’s Indy 500.
What do you guys think about the ISI Track Team’s work? Is there anything you’re specifically looking forward to in rFactor 2’s future?
