Image Space Incorporated’s Track Team sure has been teasing us in the past month! They have released previews to multiple tracks coming to rFactor 2, and now they’ve added another circuit to the mix. This circuit, the Tiger Moth Aerodrome, is unique because it is based on an airport!
If you combine cars and airports, your thoughts will immediately go towards Top Gear UK’s Dunsfold Aerodrome. Tim Wheatley of ISI has confirmed that the Tiger Moth Aerodrome is based on the Top Gear Test Track. My assumption is that this course is a continuation of Tuttle’s work. Tuttle was working on a version of the popular airport-based circuit before being hired by ISI in 2013. Now we need a virtual Stig (paging AussieStig!)
It has been a common trend for ISI have unlicensed content under fictional names in addition to licensed content. The stock car content, which should be coming soon, appears to have three or four fictional circuits being developed, which will supplement Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While the names are fictional, the quality and (relative) accuracy of the content tends to be true to life!
Are you looking forward to ISI’s version of the Top Gear Test Track? Let us know in the comments below!

Obviously, yes. Any top-quality track work is welcome since it takes an enormous effort to make track worthy of today’s high graphics and realism standards.
I’m not really a fan of the Top Gear track so I’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.
