Image Space Incorporated’s latest sim, being developed by Digits Crossed Interactive (DCI), is out of this world, literally! Rogue System is hoping to bring the thrill of the classic space simulators of the 90s and bring them into the modern era of PC gaming. It will try to be accessible to newcomers, yet also detailed and at a level of fidelity to appease the hardcore simmer. Michael Juliano, head of DCI and former rFactor team member, has released a series of video previews showcasing the simulator.

Rogue System’s Core Module (CM) will be a fully complete campaign and self standing, featuring dynamic and scripted missions to ensure an engaging story and a high replay value.
Like rFactor, Rogue System will be fully moddable and open ended, allowing both DCI and the sim’s community to bring new ships, missions, even entirely new campaigns as the product ages!
Extension Modules (EM) will add more to the gameplay as time progresses, such as FPS elements, trading goods acquired in-game, and exploring the vastness of space.
Even though it isn’t exactly a racing sim, this is bound to be a very interesting simulator to watch as development continues!

*Editorial by Darin Gangi – Wonder if rFactor 2 would be further along if they weren’t focusing on this title ? What are your thoughts ?

Thanks for the mention–it’s most appreciated! In response to the editorial, ISI has nothing at all to do with RogSys development as they’re strictly its publisher. They work, as always, on rF2…
