Sim Racing Garage Reviews Leo Bodnar SimSteering System

Barry Rowland, of Sim Racing Garage, has released a four part review of the Leo Bodnar SimSteering System.  In part 1, Barry goes over the pieces that make up the steering wheel system, including the $1,200 servomotor rated at 340 in/lb (16Nm) of torque!  For those that don’t know, that’s a lot.  In fact, so much so that the system comes with a kill button.

In part 2, Barry mounts the mounting bracket (sold as a separate accessory) to the motor, then mounts the assembly to a plate to be attached to 80/20 aluminum rails on his rig.  In part 3, Barry connects the heavy-duty industrial connectors from the motor to the controller box to bring the wheel to life.  He also shows the SimSteering configuration software to calibrate the wheel.

Lastly in part 4, Barry gives his final thoughts on the wheel.  Spoiler, it’s pretty good.
