Reiza Studios have released their monthly Development Update, and just like in June’s, July’s is filled with all sorts of interesting happenings. This includes V1.0 of Automobilista not quite making the July deadline…with early August now being the goal. It also includes previews of Reiza’s GPL tribute, the F-Vintage, because we can’t get enough of classic F1 cars at the moment.
The F-Vintage is based off of a 1967, V12, GP car, but will also come in a V8 model with differing modeling. Pretty.
There will also be a ‘1969’ version with a rear wing and winglets on the nose to reflect the aero developments of the day.
V1.0 will also feature new layouts for the Gymkhana inspired Mendig airfield, with road loops exiting the airport, with the longest being 7km.
A new ECU model will arrive in V1.0 which should make rolling onto the gas pedal more predictable then before. It will also help control the changing power levels and engine braking for modern cars such as the Formula Extreme. The engine mapping part of the ECU should be done for V1.0, with the other controls arriving later.
On the Brit Pack DLC side of things, Brands Hatch is nearly complete and the team is well advanced with Cadwell Park. And while Reiza isn’t per say ‘laser scanning’ the tracks, they have utilized some digital techniques to capture the tracks geometry.
On the car side, the Ultima GTR and MCR Sports 2000 are progressing with modeling on both and sounds for the Ultima.
Reiza hopes to have the Brit Pack out before the end of August.
And one more things….an officially licensed version of Imola is coming! The track will be the first of the “Legendary Race Tracks” DLC and will come with the early 70s, late 80s and early 00s, and today’s version of the track. Reiza is shooting for a late October release with a price tag of $6.99.
And as a reminder, here’s how the pricing structure breaks down for those of you in beta or who own the membership pack.
Worth remembering that those who took part in our crowdfunding campaign last year or bought into our membership pack have already secured all these upcoming DLCs at no extra charge. Those interested in securing all this content and also a chance to give the new stuff an early go should look into our membership packs from our forum store.
Automobilista base and the membership pack (both all-inclusive and ugprade options) remain with their promotional Early Access pricing in our forum store, selling for US$ 29.99 / US$
Sooooo yea….stuff happening.
