Aspiring racing driver, long time sim racer and fan of our show, Will Dendy sent me a link to a cool video of him trying out the GTS RS racing simulator at GTS-RS Simulation. Wills sim racing career began in Live For Speed as well as “a few other sims” and he’s now working on graduating to the real thing.
Last July he won the Pirelli Mini Challenge after entering a contest on Facebook that asked the question ‘Are you raceworthy?’ by posting up to five photos and captions on Pirellis Facebook page. The top ten entrants went through to a shoot out at Thruxton with the overall winner getting a prize drive in the Mini Challenge round at Brands Hatch on September 13th and 14th where he ended up scoring 11 points by finishing 5th of 15 participants in race 2 of 2.
Here’s a video of his race from Brands:

Now he’s trying to step up to the big time and tested an Aston Martin GT4 race car at Silverstone last month and is looking for crowd funding to jump start his full time racing career.
Which leads me to the story that he sent me and that’s testing out the GTS-RS Simulator. I don’t have much information on it except what I can see in the video. I can say that it does look pretty cool and is housed in an ex BTCC 2008 race car. In the video below, you cansee Will checking it out at the GTS-RS headquarters located in West London at Uxbridge England.
What I can see is that it looks to have a modified Fanatec CSW wheel a Z1 Sim Dash as well as a Renovatio SLI. One of the coolest parts about it is the giant life size wrap around, seamless screen that has three projectors. I can also see that they are running Assetto Corsa as one of the simulators.

You don’t have to be a budding race car driver to experience the GTS-RS sim. You can get in touch with them and book a session for yourself or a group of up to eight friends where you can hot lap against each other. Sure wish they had a facility close to me here in the U.S as I’d love to take it for a test drive. I’ll reach out to them and possibly do a follow up if I find out more about what’s under the hood of the simulator.
Have you ever driven a simulator like this and if so, please share your experience below in the comments. Special thanks to Will Dendy for sharing this video with me.

Would have been even better if it was motion but it is very close to where I live so I am going to get a quote from them and might check it out if it is reasonable.
Hey Aqib, did you manage to get pricing? I am going to the UK at the end of the year and would love to try this thing out.
