This week, two of the bigger modding teams out there, UnitedRacingDesign (URD) and International Endurance Racing Modding Group (IER), provided new updates on their respected mods for Assetto Corsa. Lets take a look at what they’re up to.
First URD, who have brought the pre-order version of their PX mod to Assetto Corsa. This is the same mod that they released for rFactor 2 a couple weeks ago. While the pre-order of the PX mod for Assetto Corsa is the same idea as the rFactor 2 version, there is one difference. At this time, the Assetto Corsa mode only comes with the Revolution PX1 2014, with the Loire 15 and PX1 2015 to follow soon. rFactor 2 uses got all three out of the gate.
Of course, in the grand scheme of the project this is minor. URD will be updating the mod overtime until they have a completed version. The completed version will feature 12 cars, recreating the World Endurance Championship LMP1 class.
If you’re interested in the PX mod for Assetto Corsa it’s best to jump on it now. The current pre-order version goes for €9.80, while the final version will be priced around €14.
IER have released a new WIP video of their Porsche 991 911 GT3 GTA (Porsche nomenclature isn’t confusing at all…) in action at Assetto Corsa’s version of Spa. The 911 GT America competes in the GT Daytona class in the Tudor United Sportscar Championship and will join the virtual series that IER are recreating.
This is the first time we’ve seen the 911 in moving picture form and the first update on it since back in February. It certainly is a gorgeous car and I’m hopeful we’ll be reporting on its release in the not-too-distant future.

btw just wanted to say that URD PX will be also covering lmp2 not just lmp1.
The text said there are to be 12 cars for LMP1. Does that mean there are more cars coming down the pipeline for LMP2 or are these 12 cars to be put into the LMP1 and LMP2 classes?
i confirmed with alless, 12 car models total, not sure if thats 6 lmp1 and 6 lmp2. this confuses me because so far we have seen 2 audis(low and high df), two porsches(lm and high df), toyota, nissan, two rebellions and bykolles. Thats more then 6 models.
This is a bit confusing. I’ve only seen LMP1 previews so far so that’s what I was going off of.

Hmmm. Gonna have to think on this. Probably great, but I am still not sure.
I have the URD EGT mod set for rf2 and it is an excellent body of work. I will have to take a closer look at the LMP mods for AC and rF2.

A different group, called Assetto Corsa Italian Mods, I found them thru DigiProst on YouTube. They make some high quality mods as well, they ask for a $5.85 donation and then you can unlock all of their mods.
