Virtua_LM Junior GTPC – Trailer Released

GTPC Mod

While a lot of modding groups have migrated to rFactor 2 or Assetto Corsa, some teams have stuck to the tried-and-true rFactor. Virtua_LM’s Junior Team has been hard at work for the past few years, bringing their GTPC mod to rF1. They have now released a new trailer for the mod, giving us a taste of what will be available “Soon”!

The GTPC mod was originally coined as the Group-C mod, but as time progressed, they decided to change the name to GTPC. My guess, based on the trailer, was because they have also added some GT cars, like the BMW M1 Procar and and Porsche 911 Group B(?). This mod has been years in the making, and a lot of classic racing fans will be ecstatic when the mod is released in the near future.

Last Month, VirtuaLM also released a teaser video, showcasing some of the sounds in the GTPC mod, and I gotta say, it sounds pretty beefy! This is definitely on my watchlist, and I think should be for anyone who uses rFactor.

The mod has been undergoing extensive beta testing, and it sounds like it is entering its final stages. They have one last beta release planned for testing purposes, and then it will be released for the public.

Are you looking forward to the GTPC mod finally coming out soon? Let us know in the comments!

  1. Certainly am. The prototype C mod was one of my favourites on F1C, these guys do amazing work who wouldn’t want to fling the Jaguar XJR-9 around Le Mans.
Could do with a link to the video.

  2. Group-C mod was a conversion of the old prototype C mod. Because we tought it was not up to par with what we wanted we threw it in the bin and start all over again.
Most of them are brand new cars only few where reworked from the old PTC cars. (956, jaguar for example)
