Kunos Simulazioni has released a new batch of screenshots, showing off the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. Back in March, the iconic Chevrolet marque was announced to be arriving to Assetto Corsa. Two cars were included in the press release, the Corvette C7 Stingray and the C7.R race car. As of right now, we do not know if there will be classic Corvettes included in the sim.
The C7.R, developed in collaboration with the 2015 Corvette Z06, is one of the hottest new GT cars in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship, as well as at Le Mans. The C7.R has seen great success in TUSCC, winning four races and is in hot contention with Porsche for the GTLM manufacturers championship. The latest iteration of the Corvette race car also had a very solid showing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with two cars finishing in the top 4. This race car will likely continue the legacy it has inherited, and soon you will get to take the car for a spin in Assetto Corsa!
The Chevrolet Corvette C7.R will be released as part of the Dream Pack, which will include 9 other cars, as well as the laser-scanned Nurburgring Nordschleife. The road going version, the Corvette C7 Stingray, will be released as free DLC.
