Assetto Corsa Early Access Update 0.20 Released

Kunos Simulazioni have released update 0.20 for Assetto Corsa.  The update primarily focuses on sim and content fixes/improvements.  In a move that should delight the modding community, the vehicle editor has been released today as well, allowing modders to start on their creations.  The physics and graphics modding tools aren’t available yet but this should give you modders a good head start on the car models.

In terms of future updates, Kunos also announced that the sound engine will be updated to FMOD for version 1.0 of the title.  FMOD is used in a handful of racing titles, such as Forza 5 and Driveclub, and is ranked up there as one of the better sound engines available.

The team also have announced that new graphics effects are being worked on for version 1.0 as well, adding “immersion that will suprise you.”  The team also hinted at new content that could be announced soon based off of user polls from last winter.  Wonder what that could be…?

  1. Well that is nice, but need to reduce the number of rooms and improve the quality here in the States. All the rooms/servers are in Europe.

  2. The more you modd, the more servers you need. The more servers there are, the smaller the race. Sounds legit.
