Project CARS became much more proper today. No, it didn’t receive a new update but it did get three new Aston Martins. Nothing more proper than that.

The Aston’s arrived via the Aston Martin Track Expansion DLC which is available now for $5.49 (€5.49). The pack includes:
- 1959 Aston Martin DBR1
- 2009 Aston Martin DBR1-2
- 2014 Aston Martin Vantage GTE
Along with – or without – the pack is the 1952 Mercedes 300SL, which is this month’s free car to all Project CARS owners.
The track in the Track Expansion is the fictional Mojave track, which is pretty much a jungle gym in the desert. With a Banked Oval, Drag Strip, Hillclimb, Skid Pan, and Tight Corner sections, this track has a bit of everything.
It looks like it could be fun but the sim racer inside of me would have preferred a real world track…

Yeah, the GTE is fantastic, maybe the C7R GTE will be added soon, but the Mojave track is both confusing and fun. I like it. Not sure how it would work in multiplayer, but it is new and different. The outer loop is troublesome, if you try and climb up the wall your car loses grip and acts fairly realistic. Yeah, I want to climb the wall and not bottom out. So it is sort of realistic. It would be fun to play some dirty tag on the entire track with all the various routes and all… Okay I don’t see it as a race track but a test/fun track.
