DriveClub PS4 Live Gameplay with T300 RS

Presenting some live gameplay of DriveClub on the Playstation 4. Darin drives the Audi R8 and RUF CTR Clubsport offline with the Thrustmaster T300 RS for a half hour of unedited driving. DriveClub is the first title that is available on the PS4 that makes use of the T300 RS.

DriveClub RUF DC

The AI in this video was tough compared to what I drove in my first three hours. It seems the Hyper / Super cars have much harder AI versus the Rookie and second tier of the “Tour”. I drove a few tour races in the Audi R8 and then ran the RUF CTR Clubsport in a time trial and a single race event as well.

More gameplay videos and a review coming on launch day (October 7th). More Driveclub coverage is located HERE.

DriveClub is going to be available exclusively for the Playstation 4 on October 7th.

1. That car is basically a hybrid Lotus with an LS motor in it. I was talking about cars from Chevy, Ford or Dodge.

1. Nope!

(*)This decision is upon each game developer and will therefore vary from racing game to racing game.

In the event of upward compatibility with PS4™ racing games, the T500 RS
racing wheel will only be recognized in the game, and not in the
console’s menus. Please note that the “SHARE” and “PS” functions will
not work on the wheel in PS4™ racing games. Nevertheless you can still
use your gamepad for these 2 specific functions

1. Looks like it would be fun. If I had gone PS4… But I did not. BTW you drive a lot better than I can. Never heard Scuderia pronounced your way.

2. Thanks for the preview, wish the game was enjoyable to watch as you.
I am pretty disappointed from all the gameplay I have seen of this game. It is nearly a year late(Day 1 release) and doesn’t seem to offer anything but generic tracks/etc.
Maybe they should have spent less time on the detail of the seat fabric and more on the gameplay(from official video’s “ooh look at our detailed graphics”) I pre-ordered this at Gamestop awhile ago and I am not sure if I’ll pick it up or get my 60bucks back.

1. “The game looks freakin amazing!” <- I have plenty of games that look amazing; Forza 5, Forza Horizons 2, Assetto Corsa, etc etc.
First time I've ever been accused of trolling, and no I'm not, I am not basing my opinion simply on Darin's pre-view video, which I appreciate, too many others 'candy coat' their gameplays/reviews.
I am basing it on videos and articles I have followed since it was announced years ago, it was supposed to be released nearly a year ago when I bought my PS4 to play it. I was hoping for more than what I have seen. The gutted version is free for PS Plus members anyway, so I'll be giving that a whirl. I do hope I am simply being jaded.

1. Well, I suppose we will see tomorrow how generic it is so you wont have to fret over the issue that you bought a PS4 for it and it being boring and generic.
I just assumed you were trolling because the main things people troll it about are the delay, it being a “track racer” :/ and the gutted PS + version lol (it’s free!!!)
I can see through these comments, sorry. But if you really are legit and concerned, wait to see reviews tomorrow before purchase. Problem solved.

1. I am looking forward to Darin’s thought on the game, when he is allowed to upload his thoughts.
I am tempted to stop by Gamestop tonight and pick up my copy, since I payed in full when I pre ordered it (work late shift at hospital). Received a text from them saying they are doing a midnight release thing for it.
Good discussion Utedude.

1. Perhaps, but this game gets so much hate and flack from people it is ridiculous. I know false concern when I see it now, especially when he starts comparing it to Xbox exclusive racers in his comment below.
Sorry if I am totally wrong on this, but I don’t think I am.

3. Hi Darin,

thanks for the nice Drive Club intro. Can`t wait till Wednesday 🙂

Could you please advice what wheel settings in Drive Club suits you best for the T300RS?

It seems my left paddle of T300RS shifts (clicks) little bit earlier than the right one (I would say 1 mm “later”). Do you have the similar experience with your wheel or its no big deal?

Thanks.

1. My pleasure ! I cranked the force feedback up to 100 and put it on the hardest settings. Also turned vibration all the way up. There wasn’t much else to do. The settings are pretty basic in game.

My paddles click equally. I haven’t noticed a difference to be honest.

4. cant believe how much hate this game receives yet people havn’t even played it yet, If I was a developer I would be disgusted with the gaming community, they don’t deserve jack shit

1. Thats usually the case for Sony exclusive. They seem to be under the scrutiny a lot more than others.
As for me well i don’t read to much into it. I bought it , awaiting them to finally make the digital version available for me to play and will enjoy it for what it is. An arcade racer PGR/Ridge racer style that looks gorgeous. Its funny how people cannot give it props for what it does well but instead knocking it for what it doesnt have.
