DSD Professional Grade Sequential Shifter Unveiled

It’s no secret that Derek Speare Designs makes high quality sequential shifters, and now he’s stepping it up with his DSD Pro Sequential – Professional Grade Version. Derek has decided that he would like to make a high end shifter, so he’s designed some concept art for us to take a look at.

The new shifter takes inspiration from the Australian V8 Supercars, and will machined out of 6061 Aluminum. The Pro Grade Shifter be 18 inches tall, and weigh a hefty six pounds. Spring tension can be adjusted to give the user as strong or as light a shift as desired. A couple options as to shift knobs will be available as well.

Pricing hasn’t been set in stone, but it will likely be in the $750 ballpark once it comes out Q4 of this year. To keep up to date on what’s going on with Derek Speare, you can also check out his new blog. What do you think of his new shifter?

  1. That is gorgeous but I wonder how many people will actually use it or want it? Given it’s faster to leave your hands on the wheel and paddle shift. That said, using sequential shifters are more fun!

  2. I have to say only a fool would spend that much money for his shifter. Max cost no more than $350.00 that’s almost to high.
