The Endurance Series mod by EnduRacers is one of the most popular mods for rFactor, featuring cars from the full range of Le Mans racers. With the first major release in 2009, and the last major release in 2011, a lot of members in the community have wondered what would be coming in the future. Well, after teasing quite a few cars to be coming to the mod, EnduRacers has gone all out and announced their plans for the future. People better get ready, because after the release of the SP3 Endurance Series update, they will be porting their mods to rFactor 2!
The SP3 update for the Endurance Series Mod will add 9 brand new cars to the rFactor mod, constructed to the quality we have come to expect from EnduRacers:
- LMP1 – Lola Aston Martin DBR1 / 2
- LMP1 – Lola Coupe B-80 Dyson
- LMP1 – Oreca 01 AIM
- LMP1 – Zytek 07s / Ginetta Zytek 09s
- LMP2 – Lola Coupe B-80
- LMP2 – Oreca 03
- LMP2 – Zytek 07s / Ginetta Zytek 09s
- GT1 – Maserati MC12
- GT2 – BMW M3 E92
From what I see, this new addition will bring great variety in the mod, and does a great job of encapsulating the history of the modern endurance racing era. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the Aston Martin DBR12/2 which is a truly beautiful prototype in my opinion.
On top of the SP3 news, EnduRacers has announced the future of their modding, which is something to really look forward to! Not only will they bring their Endurance Series mod (which will also add two new cars on top of all the cars which have been announced), but they also will be porting the Flat 6 Series mod to ISI’s latest sim racing title. They also explained their reason for choosing rFactor 2 as their modding platform of choice:
“Why rFactor2? Because it is currently the only platform that allows us to simulate the best components related to endurance races. Moreover, the game is finally stable for several months, and finally its development begins to reach an acceptable level of quality in key areas. In addition, the development tools are officially available and support is interesting. EnduRacers however continues to monitor the development project other platforms modding.”
I feel that this could be a great boost in the rFactor 2 modding community, seeing another modding group choose the ISI powered sim. If you remember, a couple months ago HistorX released a couple test shots in Assetto Corsa, but did not discount the possibility of bringing the popular Historic GT and Touring Cars mod to rF2.
Are you looking forward to Endurance Series coming to rFactor 2? Let us know in the comments!

Big win for rF2, good to see.

So we have…
Endurance Series Mod vs Everyone else = 1-0
Ok thanks for the info 😛
Amazing news! This is by far my favourite rFactor 1 mod and will be a big boost to rFactor 2’s popularity. Can’t wait to have some flat 6 races in rFactor 2 as well 😀
Terrific news. This was one of my all time favorite mods for rF1.
One of the greatest rF1 mods of all time and I still play it.. This firmly puts rF2 on my radar. But until then roll on SP3. Great work guys.
I am very happy! Gentlemen of the EnduRacers have taken a right decision!
