Fanatec Wheels on XBox One? Check out ChronusMax

A member of our forums “SSC3034” posted a link to this website, “ChronusMax“. They have made an adapter, or converter that allows you to use XBox 360 controllers on the XBox One and then some ! No mention of Force Feedback, but it’s working with a standard controller. Heck, they’ve made it so you can connect a PS3 and PS4 contoller to an XBox one. How cool is that ??

Besides that, check out the list of compatibility I pulled from their website. Gaming Keyboard and Mouse on XBox One, Wii U Controller, etc. Now if they can make a Fanatec or Logitech wheel work with Force Feedback, they could sell a lot of these to disgruntled Fanatec / XBox 360 owners that got left high and dry when the new console came out.

Here’s all the info from their “Cross Over Gaming” section at their website. Pretty cool stuff !

The CronusMAX is the next generation in controller adapters. Based on the first ever cross-compatibility gaming add-on ever created for video game industry. 1. That would be great if CronusMax would work with my Logitech G25! I would definitely buy two and have quite a few friends that are looking for something like this! I wouldn’t spend $200 on an inferior wheel when I could spend $50 to make my current wheel work just as well. I care mostly about Xbox One support, but it would be great if I could run Forza 4 on 360 with my G25! And I was planning to get a Fanatec Porsche GT2 that works with everything… except Xbox One, so I am still hesitant on buying it. But if it can be made to work with CronusMax, including accurate FB and precise response, then I’ll get the Fanatec wheel and CronusMax!

I’m worried Fanatec’s new Xbox One wheel will only work with Xbox One and not PS2/PS3/PS4/PC/360. If they dropped PS2 support, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but there’s no way I’d buy a wheel just for Xbox One. I’m worried that it also won’t be as good or have the same features as their current GT wheel. I’ll check Wheels ‘R Us when it comes out…

  2. I tested my fanatec wheel with this cronusmax device back in December with FM5 it works but doesn’t…. i.e 6-speed shifter not detected, clutch pedal reads as X + axsis on the left tumb stick so you can’t remap it, wheel rotation only works at 270-360 degrees anything higher is a no go, paddle / sequential shifter only work if u remap gear shifts to RB/LB
