Yes all of your points are valid in the sound and lack of track maker which you missed and the GT Academy… The thing that set Gran Turismo 5 and now 6 is the multi-player. No other game allows anyone to open a room set it up to 16 people, any track any car any style of racing and you can change the room settings and keep it open for hours and all for free. I race in the shifter karts, the street cars, race cars, dirty or clean racing and we can all talk freely and become close friends. You can also drift and bounce from room to room to find a group doing any style of racing or just cruising or drag racing, albeit no real drag tracks… It is the friends and the openness that keeps drawing me back from my PC to an outdated console. The future is unclear for the GT series depending on which platforms they choose, PS4 is a sure thing, but the PC is a possibility Kaz mentioned for GT7. The possibility of interplay between those platforms really intrigues me and would solidify the series for many more years.
