GTPC V1.00 Released for rFactor

Good things do come to those who wait.  After eight years and several hundred hours, Virtua_LM has released GTPC v1.00 for rFactor.  This extensive mod features 58 cars and 514 liveries recreating the best road racing cars from 1976-1988.

The team of fifteen modders went to great lengths to make the mod as accurate as possible.  All cars were built from scratch.  Real sound was used when possible.  Physics were developed based off of actual engineering data and input from former mechanics and drivers.  The tire model was built to best recreate the tires of that time period (a.k.a. not nearly as sticky as today’s tires).  No tracks are included in the mod but the AI has been modified to provide a better racing experience.

An extremely impressive project from Virtua_LM on multiple levels.  A mod team staying together for eight years is an accomplishment, much less working on one mod the entire time.  I know a lot of people have deleted rFactor off their computer but for those who haven’t, please show your support and give this a spin.  You can download it here.
