iRacing has released a preview shot of their next car coming to the sim, the NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro body style has been running in NASCAR’s second rung series since 2012 but this will be it’s first appearance in iRacing. The Camaro will replace the Impala, which ran in the Nationwide Series from 2010-2011 and in iRacing’s Class B Oval Series since 2011.
As far as release date, iRacing staff member John Hughes pulled the company line by saying, “soon.” Considering this a “rebody” of the Impala and not a new car from the ground up I’d guess it will be out for the start of Season 3 at the end of July.
