Since the inception of iRacing in 2008, the service has offered a number of different discounts for new content. Early on, discounts could be had by buying content in bulk. Then the 100% club came out. Last year a discount was offered for owning all road or oval content. There were also discounts for new members but there was never really a discount that rewarded the users who bought lots of content, but not quit all of it. That has now changed.
Last week, iRacing announced a new customer loyalty program that rewards members who own at least 40 pieces of paid content (tech tracks excluded) with a 25% discount on new content, no bulk purchase necessary. Currently there are 79 pieces of paid content, 29 cars and 50 tracks, so any combination of cars and tracks that equal 40 will qualify you for the discount.
The new 40 piece loyalty program joins the previous discounts. To make things a little less confusing, I’ve posted the four discounts below:
10%
Bulk Purchase Discount: Purchase any three to five pieces of content (cars/tracks) at once and receive 10% off the total.
20%
Bulk Purchase Discount: Purchase any six or more pieces of content (cars/tracks) at once and receive 20% off the total.
25%
Loyalty Discount: Purchase/License any 40 pieces of paid content (cars or tracks) and receive a 25% discount from that point forward on future content purchases. In other words, once you own any 40 pieces of paid content, every content purchase after that is automatically discounted by 25%.
30%
Loyalty Discount: Purchase all content or all remaining content and receive 30% off the total. Affectionately known as the 100% club by our members.
