Microsoft has released a new video showing a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the development of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex on Windows 10. While the video is essentially a promo piece, it does show off more 4K footage on DX12 and contains the quote, “moving forward, all of our games are going to be shipping to Windows 10 and Xbox,” from Turn 10 Creative Director, Dan Greenawalt.
It’s interesting because up until this statement, Turn 10 had been playing coy, saying that Apex is more of a test and, “we’ll see,” deal. With that said, Dan is known to make big promises, so maybe nothing has changed?
What will be the real determining factor in my opinion is Forza Horizon 3. There should be an official announcement for it at E3 in June and if its announced for the Xbox and Windows 10, then there would be no reason not to expect the franchise to go fully down the universal Xbox/Windows path.
Oh, and no one’s using a wheel in the video…soooooo…our, “will they have wheel support (ever)?” question continues.
[EDIT] Never mind, see tweet below. Tip of the hat to the anonymous Orange Box and Dan355 in comments section.
