Patrik Marek has released new previews for the 1999 Nissan Primera BTCC car he is working on for Assetto Corsa. He has been hard at work on this model for around a year now, and it is quickly becoming one of the most visually impressive cars for Kunos’ sim!
The Primera was Nissan’s swan song in the British Touring Car Championship. The car was designed by Ray Mallock Limited, and had quite a bit of success in the BTCC. In 1998, David Leslie and Laurent Aiello dominated, winning of the races in the championship for Nissan, with Aiello being crowned champion. After 1999, Nissan officially pulled out of the championship along with Renault and Volvo. However, a privately owned Primera, fielded by Matt Neal, won the independent cup in 2000.
The Nissan Primera is one of the more successful cars in the BTCC, and it looks like Patrik’s work will do this car justice! This looks to be one of the first cars with a full-featured showroom model, with not only the doors, but the trunk opening as well. The detail in the car is simply mind boggling as well, with you being able to see the time and passion put into the car model. Hopefully, we can see this car being released soon, so we can drive this car for ourselves. I’m definitely looking forward to this car, and not just because I own the road version of it.

Yeah, I can’t wait for this Mod either, and see how well it is made and to see all the work that Mr.Patrik Marek has put into it…and the fact that the “Turtle-hull” will open up that’s cool also. Yeah, I can’t wait! =)
