Through an agreement with Porsche and the holders of the official Porsche license, EA, Turn 10 Studios has brought Porsche to the Forza Motorsports franchise. Starting today, owners of Forza Horizon 2 can download the Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion and drive some of the best cars to ever roll off the Stuttgart assembly line.

All the cars you ever wanted to drive, the 911, Carrera GT, Cayman, 918, Macan…ok, maybe not the last one…are here. If you’re a fan of Porsche, you won’t be disappointed. Check out the full list below:

In addition to the ten cars, the pack includes 10 new Porsche-themed Bucket List events, 10 Porsche Rivals events and 15 achievements worth a total of 500 Xbox Live Gamerscore points. Neat-o.
Of course, all of this awesome news comes at a price. The Porsche Expansion pack costs $10, which is pretty much inline with previous packs that charged $1/car. Kudos to Turn 10 for not passing on the licensing costs to us!
While it’s certainly exciting to see Porsche’s in Horizon 2, the bigger news may be the brands appearance in the forthcoming Forza Motorsports 6. Turn 10 has confirmed that Porsche will be in Forza Motorsport 6, we just don’t know in what capacity. Will they be included in the game at launch? Will they only be available in an expansion to pay for the licensing fees? Will there be Porsche race cars?
Time will tell, but hopefully we’ll learn more at next week’s E3.
That is cool, now when they release Forza on pc I can play with Porsches and not just Rufs.
