ProtoSimTech (co-founded by Chris Smith, also known as GTFREAK in our forums) has taken us through an interesting journey, showing us the different stages of development in his pedal set. Now, ProtoSimTech has officially announced the finished version, the PT-1.
The ProtoSimTech PT-1 is a high end set of pedals, at an accessible price. Featuring a near-unprecedented level of adjustability, they will be able to accommodate your own personal driving style. The brake features a 50kg load cell, which can be adjusted for a lighter or heavier force required, while still keeping all 4096 steps of resolution.
The clutch features a unique mechanism, to try to recreate the real feel of a car’s clutch. Utilizing a digressive system similar to the Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V2, this system can also be extensively adjusted, or even removed if you just want a linear feel. The clutch, as well as the gas pedal, use industrial grade potentiometers, rated for over a million cycles.
Now to the part you all are looking forward to, the price. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with this:
- $319 for the gas and brake
- $379 for all three pedals
If nothing changes, the pedals are planned for release this October, with pre-orders opening this fall. The first round of pedals will only include twenty units, on a first-come-first serve basis. If you are looking for more information, you can check out ProtoSimTech’s official website or the topic in our forums. If you want to check out the process of developing the PT-1, you can check out their official YouTube Channel.
What are your thoughts on the PT-1? Are you looking to order a set?

I’m happy with my Clubsport V2’s but i would have probably picked these if they were around last year when I bought my fanatec gear.
I wish we had been around to sell them to you 🙂
The pedal set looks great, can’t wait to hear Darin and Jason’s official review of this product, congratulations to you at ProtoSimTech.
Thank you!
Thank you for giving us sim-racers another option when it comes to high-end pedals, from what I’ve seen your pedals seem to be of very high quality at a reasonable price. Keep up the great work and keep down the price 🙂
We’ll do our best to keep our prices as low as possible 😉 We’re glad you like the pedals and we look forward to giving you a great product!

Thanks for the compliments! I wish I could get everyone on the waiting list first, but unfortunately they will be first come-first serve. Thanks again!
