While there is no secret that Richard Burns Rally is one of the most authentic rally simulators available, there has not been a title that could be touted as a true “successor”. While there have been a multitude of quality mods for the sim, a standalone mod has yet to be made.
Enter RealRally, a new standalone product based off of Richard Burns Rally. RealRally was initially a mod for the popular rally sim, but they have decided to go the standalone route for 2015. They have now released a demo for the sim, giving you the option to drive 3 different cars in RealRally:
- Peugeot 208 R5
- Lancia Delta 8V
- Renault Clio RS
The RealRally demo does not require an installation of Richard Burns Rally and should not be installed in the RBR folder. The guys behind RealRally also have done an excellent job adding more features to the rather dated rally sim, including added functionality in the menus and UI. NOTES
– Very important to run as admin manager .
– It is not usually necessary to create the user to have everything unlocked as it is a new build so any name will be chosen will automatically have access to the full functionality of the game.
– It ‘was added to support the column of G25 / G27 in order to use the cross and cross buttons to move around the various menus of the game (beta).
– Once you save your favorite listings, cars can be uploaded directly from the manager to the voice plugin without having to quit the game every time.
– It ‘s also possible to customize the lighting of the light limiter, tire-to-use (Michelin – Pirelli), manufacturer information for each vehicle.
– It ‘s possible to assign your favorite audio to any car.
– If you have any questions, concerns clarification reporting etc. There is the appropriate forum .
– The file is an executable WinRar do not try to unzip it but run it (two clicks above) at the end it will create two shortcuts on the desktop, beware of the “readme” file before starting the demo
I’ve finally got it installed, but it crashes before I get to drive.
I had a bit of trouble figuring out which spot to download, one said a day, so I went to one the says 15 minutes. We will see, hopefully it works…
I deleted the thing, it was in Spanish and not even assigned a full file name. Hopefully it is gone. Better be. Had enough trouble lately with Logitech profiler and Sim Dash dying on me. Or the l.e.d.s or something.

You have to do the RSRBR execution thing with the Real_Rally_Manager file. Then i think you have to register to their site on the forum for the password. Trying to do that right now. Not working very well….

So you need to name the file. I decided to let someone better at these things go first.
