Mountain Peak Speedway Released for rFactor 2

Image Space Incorporated has released Mountain Peak Speedway and all seven of its configurations for rFactor 2 (rF2).  Mountain Peak Speedway (pseudo Charlotte Motor Speedway of NASCAR fame) was featured as one of the first screenshots of rF2 back in…well…its been so long I can’t recall.  Whatever year it was this has to be in the running for the “longest single piece of content to complete” award.

Even though it was quite the wait, it does appear like it was worth it.  You’re getting a lot of track styles in one package, allowing you to take any car in rF2 for a spin.  The oval will be a big boost for the (forthcoming) stock car and Indycar which currently have about two tracks to turn left on.  The infield road course is nice and tight and should work well for the healthy supply of road going cars in the sim.  Last, but certainly not least, are the kart tracks which honestly look like the most fun because karting is awesome and we need more karting tracks in the sim community in general.

Like always, the track is available for free and can be downloaded here.

Do the multiple configurations excite you or does the “these graphics are a bit long in the tooth” turn you off?
