Stock Cars and New Ovals Arrive to rFactor 2

The stock cars are finally here for rFactor 2 fans.  After at least a year of development, you can now drive the Centennial, Titan and Edgar EVO.

Not familiar with these brands?  That is because rFactor 2 does not have any officially licensed NASCAR stock cars, so these three generic manufactures with kind of Chevy, Toyota and Ford looking noses fill the void.

Thankfully, Image Space Incorporate (ISI) didn’t only release the stock cars but a couple new tracks for us to race them on.  ISI’s interpretation of Daytona and Darlington, Jacksonville and Brookdale Speedway, are now available for download as well.

The new tracks bring the total stock car friendly track count to four, joining Mountain Peak Speedway (Charlotte Motor Speedway) and Indianapolis, not that stock cars can’t be run on road courses.  Monaco anyone?

One unique feature that both Jacksonville and Brookdale share is that they are third party affiliate (3PA) tracks, like the recently released Bathurst.  What would be interesting to know is who built them?  Bathurst turned out to be an rFactor-fied version of Project CARS Bathurst.  Wonder if these ovals are from another studio like Slightly Mad, mod group, or even an individual?
