Video Highlight: Pablo Lopez rF2 NSX

I was browsing YouTube videos today, and I noticed that Pablo “GoPro” Lopez had uploaded a new video, this time with a different perspective. In a style not dissimilar to 6e660’s RaceRoom video, Pablo decided to capture footage of the newly released Honda NSX for rFactor 2, at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

I gotta say, I like the look of superimposed footage in these videos, which I feel adds a sense of immersion into those videos (despite using a BMW emblem while driving a Honda). The video looks to be done with quality and professionalism that we’ve come to expect from Pablo, and it results in a fun video to watch! The video also does a good job of capturing the NSX’s unpredictable nature, and how a skilled driver can tame the beast.

For those of you who don’t know, Pablo Lopez was a participant in the iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series until last year for Radicals Racing Team. He was known for his unique take on filming his videos, earning the nickname “GoPro”. For more information about Pablo Lopez, check out this interview we did with him here.

  1. Nooo! I must do it as well! 😀

the result It’s too fun… I find the only flaw being the monitor position: he should arise the video a bit. Real sport cars have deeper cockpits, while Pablo has either set the wheel or the monitor too low (this will also delete the niusance of the video shown inside between the cars’ gauges and needles).

Other than that, I found it a really original and interesting video.

It also shows how the NSX behave like a feather: it’s good seeing such a nimble reaction to wheel control while the over-steer kicks in. Bravo Honda! And bravo Pablo!
