Xbox One Forza Motorsports 6 Limited Edition Console Announced

Don’t have an Xbox One?  Fan of the Forza series?  Not a fan of the black on black look of the console?  Well you’re in luck, cause Microsoft has released the Forza Motorsports 6 Limited Edition Xbox One.  You may not be able to afford the blue Ford GT cover girl but I think this – slightly different – blue beauty is attainable.

The Forza Edition Xbox One has a few unique features.  First, it comes with a 1 TB hard drive, which should be very sufficient.  It also comes with a matching, updated, controller that mirrors the color scheme of the console and features a 3.5 mm headset jack.  Additional controllers will be available for purchase for $64.99, but that’s not important cause you’ll be using a wheel and pedals anyway…right…guys?

To go along with the physical differences, the start-up, down, and eject sound has been changed to the Ford GT engine note.  A bit corny but mostly awesome.

Best of all is the software bundled with the console.  Each console will come with a full-game download of Forza Motorsports 6 and the Ten Year Car Pack, celebrating ten years of Forza (time flies).

The Forza Motorsports 6 Edition Xbox One will ring up the register at $399 in the U.S.  It is available for pre-order now and will be available alongside the Forza Motorsports 6 release on September 15th.

In related news, Darin is putting together some post E3 Forza Motorsports 6 coverage.  Keep on the lookout for it here and our YouTube page.

  1. I wouldn’t want a console any other color than black but, that’s just me.

That being said, I’m very curious what FM6 will be like after the debacle of FM5 (I played it for 2 weeks and haven’t booted it up since). They’ve got their hands full now with PCars and, later, Assetto Corsa. No more resting on laurels. It’s time for Turn10 to turn it up a notch.

    1. Well said Leeman! I feel the same way, black or nothing. With the FM5 “micro-transaction” debacle I didn’t play past 2 weeks of total gaming time after owning the game since release. I’m sure Turn 10 noticed the lack of enthusiasm/participation on the online matches.
