Last week Reiza Studios released version 1.15 of Game Stock Car 2013 which transformed the game into Game Stock Car Extreme with the addition of the Formula V12. Now Reiza has released in-game screenshots of two upcoming cars to the title, the Formula Extreme and Formula Vee Brazil. The Formula Extreme car is based off of the 2014 Formula 1 regulations. The car features a turbocharged 1.6L V-6 engine mated with an energy recovery system (ERS) and an 8-speed transmission. The car also features the latest FIA aerodynamics package which features a narrower front wing, lower – as the rules intended it to look – nose and a wider drag reduction system (DRS) slot on the rear wing. Game Stock Car Extreme will be the first title to feature the 2014 spec cars and all the technical advances that go along with it.
The Formula Vee Brazil car is a junior level open wheel car that is part of the stepping stone from karts to higher formula cars. Formula Vee cars run all around the world and were a stepping stone for such names as Rosberg, Lauda, Andretti, Fittipaldi and Piquet. With a top end speed around 120 mph, no wings and skinny tires, I’m sure the car is gong to be good fun.

This game just gets better and better. What Reiza do with an older engine is nothing short of amazing.
Especially considering they’re trying to look into getting more things into it, like a dynamic tire and track model, weather, transmission model, etc.
Which begs the question, could Reiza be migrating over to the rFactor 2 engine in the future, or are they going to squeeze something out of the engine that we never thought was there?
I think GTR had all these using the same engine so who knows. I’m sure they’ll move eventually but I really admire what they can achieve with this one so until then I’ll just enjoy what we have.
