UnitedRacingDesign (URD) have now made their latest project, the PX package for rFactor 2, available for pre-order and beta access. As with all of URD’s work, the ‘PX’ naming is a bit of a ruse thanks to licensing. PX is URD’s nomenclature for the World Endurance Championship’s LMP1 class.
Purchasing the pre-order PX package today gets you three beta cars, the Revolution PX1 2014 with V8, PX1 2015 with V6 Twin Turbo engine and Loire 15 PX2. In real life the Revolution is known as the Rebellion R-One LMP1 car, aka, the LMP1 car that isn’t an Audi, Porsche, Toyota or Nissan. But don’t fret, URD is working on those as well.
Upon completion the pack will include 12 cars. No confirmation on what the other 9 cars will be but I have the feeling that the four brands I mentioned above will have a part in it…
The PX package for rFactor 2 can be purchased here for €9.90 ($11.25 USD). This is a discounted rate as it will cost more once the pack is complete. I say if you’re interested to pull the trigger now, save the money, and get your feet wet in beta testing.
And for those of you who fancy Assetto Corsa, the PX package is also coming your way. No definitive release for the Assetto Corsa pre-order yet but it sounds like it’s not far away (like in the next week).
